At A2 you can talk about what you did, what you will do and what you can do, and compare things. Five grammar points carry most of it. This is practice; university admission usually asks for a recognised certificate at B2 or C1.
1. 'From' with -den / -dan
okuldan (from school), evden (from home). After f, s, t, k, ç, ş, h, p it becomes -ten / -tan: kitaptan. Okuldan geliyorum: I am coming from school.
2. Two past tenses
- -di (seen past): something you saw or know for sure. Dün sinemaya gittim: I went to the cinema yesterday.
- -miş (reported past): something you heard or found out. Ali gelmiş: Ali has come (apparently).
3. The future with -ecek / -acak
Yarın gideceğim: I will go tomorrow. Note the k becoming ğ before a vowel: gideceğim, not gidecekim.
4. 'Can' with -ebil / -abil
Türkçe konuşabilirim: I can speak Turkish. Negative: konuşamam (I cannot speak).
5. Comparisons with daha and en
İstanbul Ankara'dan daha büyük: Istanbul is bigger than Ankara (the thing compared takes -den). En güzel şehir: the most beautiful city.
Practise each tense by talking about your own day: what you did (-di), what you will do (-ecek), what you can do (-ebil).
